Is that a lid in your pocket?
A few months back I received a gadget for my crock pot for a review consideration. First, I like gadgets and second, I like simple, smart ideas. I also believe that If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything. So guess what? I do in fact have something nice to say about this cool little gadget.
The Lid Pocket is a lid holder for your crock pot. It hangs on the side of the pot and your lid rests nicely inside. I’m told it fit’s most models and sizes but works like it was made to order for my 7qt Crock-Pot. This is not some lame item like “The Banana Slicer” or “The Bacon Rack” although I do enjoy my bananas and bacon for that matter, but I digress.
When I’m cooking a recipe that allows for the removal of the lid, or when it’s time to serve it up, I now use the Lid Pocket with every crock pot creation. My counter space “real-estate” is a rare commodity so it’s nice to have a smart place for the lid that is both out of the way and right where you need it at the same time. I don’t know about you but when I lay the lid down on the counter for whatever reason I end up with about 10 gallons* of condensation, but the Lid Pocket catches all of that and keeps my counter nice and neat which is helpful for my OCD. You can also throw it in the dishwasher if needed and it stores nicely inside the pot when not in use.
They’re pitching it for 10 bucks(9.99) so it’s affordable, it’s usable, and makes for a nice, low-priced gift idea.
And it’s just one of those things where I come out thinking, “Hey, I wish I would’ve thought of that.”
