Lazy cabbage rolls

Take 1 head of green cabbage and core and wash it. Place the cabbage leaves on a microwave safe plate and “steam” it in the microwave for 5 minutes or until hot and flexible.
Mix raw rice and raw ground beef in bowl. Add a big scoop of cinnamon, maybe 1 tablespoon. Add a dash of salt or pepper, if desired. Add enough V8 to wet the mix but do not make it liquidy.
Layer the cabbage leaves and rice/meat mixture alternately in the slow cooker. Pour V8 until most of the food is covered. Cook until meat and rice are cooked, usually about 2 hours, but it won’t hurt to leave this on low or warm all day.

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • V8, we like the spicy V8 for this recipe
  • salt and pepper, if desired
