Combine everything in a crock pot, cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Stir well before serving.

As per Nancy’s tip, We’re doubling the brown sugar for a little more sweetness.

  • 5 Cups water
  • 1 1/2 Cups steel-cut oats
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt

    This was a good recipe. I put it in overnight for 7 hours. It needed a little more brown sugar and salt for my husband and me….we just felt like there was a little something missing, but all in all, it was a nice breakfast to wake up to. Thank you for the recipe.
